RECENT PAINTINGS
Initially there was a blue-green phase which studied the abundant hues and tones within that chromatic range. These colors were manifested in the form of arched hills and wavy clouds and in flat fields of hard edge shapes and diagonal color bars. Later the paintings opened up to more pink and purple tonal meditations, the wavy transitions becoming softer and more dreamy. The current works further expand the original color palette with the introduction of warmer hues into the mix and new experiments with gradients and depth. The resulting abstract compositions are windows or bridges to an inside world pieced together from remembered landscapes and aesthetic memories.
